Publications affiliated with the College

The College holds the editorship of three journals, which positions the College as an influential presence in criminological research and provides publications process experience for several graduate students each year.

  • Criminology and Public Policy: Recognized as one of the top criminology journals, CPP is an official publication of the American Society of Criminology. It is a peer-review journal that is devoted to the study of criminal justice policy and practice. Graduate students gain insightful publications experience as the managing editor.
  • Social Problems: One of the most respected and widely read professional journals in the social sciences, Social Problems is published for the Society for the Study of Social Problems. It publishes accessible, relevant, and innovative articles that present influential sociological findings and theories that have the ability to help us better understand our complex social environment. A graduate student serves as the managing editor.
  • The Journal of Drug Issues: One of the oldest journals in this area, The Journal of Drug Issues is a refereed publication widely used by research scholars, public policy analysts, and those involved in the day-to-day fight against drug abuse. The graduate student holding the Rachin Fellowship is the assistant editor of the journal.
