2008 Juvenile Justice Teacher of the Year

Nominate your best teachers to be recognized for their inspiring classroom instruction.

The Florida Department of Education and the Juvenile Justice Educational Enhancement Program (JJEEP) invite you to nominate your program’s outstanding teachers.

One winner from each of the five regions will receive a plaque and a $500 award. The statewide winner will be announced at the 2009 Juvenile Justice Education Institute and Southern Conference on Corrections in Tampa, August 3–5.

Nominees must be currently teaching in a Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facility and must have been teaching in a DJJ facility since January 2008. You may nominate more that one teacher from your program.

Nominations must be postmarked by April 17, 2009. You can review the nomination procedures and print the nomination form on this Web site.
