Research & Publications
- About JJEEP Research: As part of its mission and interrelated functions, JJEEP conducts research relating to delinquency and education including program evaluation, literature reviews and longitudinal research on youth released from commitment programs in Florida.
- Juvenile Justice Education Policy: When requested, JJEEP provides policy relevant research to the Florida Legislature, and annually provides the Florida Department of Education with policy recommendations relating to the education and transition services for juvenile justice involved youth.
- Research Publications & Presentations: JJEEP's research publications include Annual Reports, peer-reviewed journal articles, and literature reviews relating to the education and post release trajectories of juvenile justice involved youth. In addition, JJEEP staff members frequently present research findings at state and national conferences.
- Demonstration Sites: JJEEP compiles data on best practices through case studies of potential demonstration sites. Demonstration sites are consistently high performing educational programs based upon multiple years of QA performance results with little provider, administrative, and teacher turnover. The best practices identified in each program are based on practices that were empirically proven in prior research studies to be successful.
